The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has initiated an online platform for its customers. The main objective of WBSEDCL is the distribution and hydrogeneration of electricity. Moreover, it is a Nodal Agency of the Government of West Bengal for undertaking Rural Electrification task in the state to provide access to electricity to all rural households in the state in line with the National Rural Electrification Policy. WBSEDCL New Consumer Registration Online
Let us see the online procedure to apply for the WBSEDCL New Consumer Registration on the official portal of the WB Electricity Board.
- Visit the Official Portal of WBSEDCL.
- It takes the online users to the Home Page below.
- Click on the Consumer Registration link on the following page.
- It then redirects the online users to the below page.
- Enter the Consumer ID and click on the Continue button.
- Now Enter the Consumer ID and Installation Number on the newly opened page.
- Click on the Continue button.
- Enter the Mobile Number and Click on the Send OTP button.
- It then generates an OTP to the Registered Mobile Number of the Applicant.
- Enter the OTP and Click on the Submit button.
- Repeat the same process for OTP Verification by giving your email id.
- Click on the Submit button.
- Enter the Name, Password, and Retype Password.
- It then displays the alert that the user id has been successfully created.
- Please note that your user id will be your consumer id.

- Enter the User Name and Password.

Download Payment Receipt Online

- Visit the Official Portal of WBSEDCL online.
- It takes the online users to the Home Page below.
- Click on the Download Payment Receipt on the newly opened page.
- It then redirects the online users to the following page below.
- Select the Type of Search: Consumer ID or Application Number.
- Here we have selected the Consumer ID.
- Now, Enter the Consumer ID and Captcha Text and click on the Proceed button.
- It then downloads the payment receipt of the electricity bill online.
How to Pay WBSEDCL Electricity Bill Online
Let us see the online procedure to pay the WBSEDCL Electricity Bill online on the official portal.
- Visit the Official Portal of WBSEDCL online.
- It takes the online users to the Home Page below.
- Click on the Online Payment option on the following page.
- The consumers can select Quick Pay, Quick Pay Quotation, E-Payment (Pre-Paid Customers), and E-Pay (Post-Paid Customers).
- For example, here, we have selected the Quick Pay Option.
- It then takes the online users to the following page below.
- Enter your Customer ID and Captcha ID.
- Click on the Proceed button.
- Enter your Consumer ID, Captcha Text, Consumer Name, Email ID, and Mobile Number.
- Click on the Unpaid bill button.
- It then displays the electricity bill that the consumers should pay.
- Select the electricity bill, and it then displays the payment gateway as shown.
- Click on the Bill Desk option for Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, Wallet etc.
- Click on the checkbox agreeing to all the terms and conditions.
- Click on the Confirm button.
- Select any of the bill payment methods and enter the card details on the newly opened page.
- It then completes the bill payment process and generates the bill payment receipt.
