SSPY UP offers pension to Vridh Jan (Old age people), Viklang (Physically handicapped), Vidhwa (Widow), Kustha (Leprosy) sufferers. Using the official portal, any eligible applicant can apply online, check the status of the application and even check the pensioner’s list online.
After introducing many welfare schemes, the Uttar Pradesh State Government has launched another initiative, SSPY UP Pension Yojana. With the launch of this scheme, now the widowed, old age, and disabled citizens can avail themselves of different pension plans. The beneficiaries will get Rs 500 for the widow & handicapped, 800 for senior citizens, and Rs 2500 pension for leprosy people.

UP Pension Scheme Eligibility Criteria
Let us see the eligibility criteria that an applicant should get eligible for the UP Pension Scheme.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- Applicant families should belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in the state.
- Moreover, the applicant candidates should belong to backward categories and underprivileged groups.
- For viklang pension, physically handicapped people need to provide the relevant documents, similarily Widow & kustha rog applicants need to provide relevant documents.
- The persons involved in any government job are not eligible for the pension scheme.

- Visit the Official Portal of UP Pension Scheme.
- It lands the online users on the Home Page below.
- Click on the Old Age Pension option available at the top of the following web page.
- It then redirects the online applicants to the following page below.
- Click on Apply Online on the newly opened page.
- Select/Enter District, Resident, Tehsil, Name of Applicant, Gender, Father/Husband Name, Category, Contact Number, and Complete Address.
- Under the Bank Details, Select/Enter the Name of Bank, Name of Branch, Account Number, and IFSC Code.
- Enter the Income-Certificate Application No. / Income Application No. provided by Tehsildar and Income-Certificate No. / Income Certificate No.
- Upload the Colour Passport Size Photo and Date of Birth/Age Certificate.
- Click on the declaration checkbox agreeing to all the terms and conditions.
- Enter the Captcha Code.
- Verify all the details and click on the submit button.
Note: Please note that the application form filling procedure is all the same for the other plans like Widow, Disabled, and Leprosy applicants.

Let us see the online procedure to view and track the application status of the pensions online.
- Visit the Official Portal of UP Pension Scheme.
- It takes the online users to the Home Page below.
- Click on the Old Age Pension option available at the top of the following web page.
- On the newly opened page, click on the Application Status link.
- It then redirects the online applicants to the following page below.
- Select/Enter the Pension Scheme, Registration ID, Registered Mobile Number.
- It then generates the OTP to the Registered Mobile Number.
- Copy and Enter the OTP and click on the validate button.
- Enter the Captcha Code and click on the Login button.
