Good news, From March 1, Telangana police has started implementing concessions on pending traffic e-challans in the state. This benefit of TS challan discount is available till 31st March 2022 for all types of violations. This includes challans related to masks (while driving), which were very strictly enforced during the COVID situation. Talking about Hyderabad police only, around 1.7 crore challans are pending till 2014. In the overall Telangana state, this number is 6 crore.

Initially, the process of Traffic challan discount has started from Hyderabad city and soon was implemented in all cities of Telangana.
If you were fined for not wearing a mask during the COVID situation, the amount in challan was Rs. 1000. However, as per the recent discount, you have to pay just Rs. 100. Similarly for two and three-wheeler-related traffic challans, there is a discount of 75%. For Cars and other heavy vehicles, there is the provision of a 50 percent discount.

Here is the process
All people who have pending challan payments are advised to go through the given steps and use the direct link to clear the payment. You can pay via the e-challan website, Mee Seva, and UPI as well. Here are the steps:
- Visit the official website
- Enter your vehicle number
- Enter the last 4 digits of your chassis or engine number
- Enter captcha code and click on “Go”
- You will see all the challans listed there
- Complete the online payment and avail of the concession
Pay 25% fine on 2 & 3 wheeler vehicles, 30% on RTC vehicles, and 50% on 4 & Heavy wheeler vehicles. This facility available upto 31-Mar-2022
