In the budget for the financial year 2020, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a new service that allows people to receive an instant e-PAN using their Aadhaar numbers without having to fill out a lengthy application. The service was created to make the process of obtaining a PAN easier for individuals.
In just a few minutes with a few clicks, you can get an instant PAN card with an Adhaar card in soft copy format. If you’re wondering if the e-PAN will work for anything, here’s the reply. The instant e-PAN is the same as the PAN card you receive after filling out the comprehensive application form.
Paying taxes, submitting tax filings (ITR), opening bank accounts or DEMAT account, enrolling for a debit or credit card, and so on all require a PAN card, and you may use this e-PAN for all of these activities in the same manner that you would a regular PAN card.
Instant e PAN card Apply
Individuals who already have a valid Aadhaar card can apply for an instant e-PAN under the new feature. Applicants would not be asked to fill out a lengthy application form, as is customary in most circumstances. There will be no further expenses for the instant e-PAN Card, which will be supplied in PDF format.
The PDF has a QR code that includes the individual’s name, birth date, and pictures, as well as other demographic information. The e-PAN may be downloaded from the income tax e-filing website using the 15-digit acknowledgment number. Your specified email address will also receive a scanned copy of the e-PAN.
You might do an instant PAN card apply on the NSDL and UTITSL websites, although there may be a cost. The e-PAN, on the other hand, is available for free through the income tax e-filing website.
When you register for a PAN using this approach, your Aadhaar number will be linked to your PAN automatically.
