Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme 2022 – 2023
The Indian Army invites unmarried male candidates to join the Indian Army under the technical entry scheme (TES). This scheme is for 10+2 candidates who have passed the 12th exam in physics, chemistry, and mathematics and have appeared in the JEE (Mains) exam in 2022.
Indian Army 10+2 TES selection process has numerous stages, including the medical examination, and the candidate has to qualify all these stages for final selection. The Technical Entry Scheme of the Indian Army has 90 vacancies.
This scheme will allow the selected candidates to complete one year of basic Military training and four years of technical training. After completing the course, candidates will be granted Permanent Commission in the Indian Army initially at the rank of Lieutenant.
The technical training under TES includes two phases, and the candidate can undergo training in any one from the CME Pune, MCTE Mhow, and MCEME Secunderabad.
- Phase-I: 3 years of Pre Commission Training
- Phase-II: 1 year of Post Commission Training
Eligibility Criteria for Technical Entry in Indian Army
Candidates applying for the Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be an unmarried male and cannot marry before the completion of the training.
- Must be an Indian citizen, or from Nepal, or an Indian origin candidate who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zambia, Zaire, and Vietnam with the motive of permanently setting in India.
- The candidate should be between 16.5 and 19.5 years (born between 2 July 2003 and 1 July 2006, including both dates).
- Candidates must have passed the 12th class or any equivalent exam with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
- Must have appeared for the competitive exam of JEE (Mains) 2022.
- Candidates should not be arrested, involved in legal cases, criminal activity, or any court case.
What Selection Procedure for Technical Entry Scheme of Indian Army
The candidate has to qualify in numerous stages for selection under the Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme. The selection process of the Indian Army TES is:
- Shortlisting of the candidates.
- SSB interview for the selected candidates. The SSB interview is a five-day process with two stages. The candidate has to clear stage I to enter stage II.
- Medical test
The candidate who qualifies all these stages and is medically fit will be issued the joining letter.

- Class 10th mark sheet or diploma for date of birth proof
- Class 12th mark sheet

Candidates can apply for the Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme online through the official website of Join Indian Army. Follow the below-given steps for the Indian Army Technical Entry online application:
- Open the official website for Join Indian Army (https://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in/default.aspx).
- Under the officers selection box on the home page, you will find the apply option on the right side. Click on the ‘Officers Entry Apply / Login’ button.
- You will see the window for entering the website. Enter the captcha and click on the ‘Enter Website’ button.
- For a new registration, click on the ‘Register’ button.
- The instruction will open now. Read all the instructions carefully and click the ‘Continue’ button.
- The registration form is on the screen. Enter your details, check the box, enter the captcha and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- After successfully registering, you can use the login link available on the home page to login into your account.
- Enter your email Id, password, and captcha. Now, click on the ‘Login’ button.
- You will now see the application form. Fill in all the particulars in the form carefully and preview it before submitting it.
- The application printing option will be available after 30 minutes of submitting the TES application form. Take the printout of the Indian Army TES form for the future.
